Will Mountain
President, Chief Technical Officer
Will has been around hockey studying the game, the business, and the recruitment and development of young players for over 10 years. He holds an Honours Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University with a focus on Biomechanics and Data Science with 8 years of professional experience analyzing corporate revenues and managing vast libraries of copyright data in the entertainment industry with a focus on digital service providers. Will has previously volunteered assisting with NCAA recruitment and game day responsibilities with the OJHL's Burlington Cougars, and recently offered his services to the OHL's Sarnia Sting to assist with their 2022 OHL Priority Selection and 2022 CHL Import Draft.
In 2016, Will founded Scouching, a hockey scouting and analysis outlet that has manually collected data for hundreds of players across thousands of games to find unique insights and potential value in the NHL Draft, communicating his findings to a passionate audience of both hockey fans and professionals through live shows and extensive video reports on YouTube. Will is dedicated to gathering as much information as possible to analyze player performance accurately and to understand a player’s potential value in the context of an elite hockey team environment to maximize the output of complimentary talent profiles.
Shane Malloy
Partner, Chief Operations Officer
For the past 23 years, worked in the hockey industry as a columnist, author, scout, radio host, and analyst, forming deep roots and strong connections along with expertise of the sport. Currently is a consulting Predictive and Integrative Data Analyst for EA Sports NHL Franchise for the last 16 years. In addition to scouting for the United States Hockey League, He authored a book “The Art of Scouting" and has hosted the Hockey Prospect Radio Show on Sirius XM NHL Network Radio for the past 17 years.
A PhD student at the University of New Brunswick in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on NHL hockey operations. Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Royal Roads University, and an MBA in Hockey Management from Athabasca University.
Carries an Master's Certification in Negotiation from Harvard Law, in addition to Data Science Certifications from Rochester Institute of technology and Columbia University. Has a Certified Hockey Professional designation from the Business Hockey Institute.
Pat Malloy
Consulting Player Development Coach
With nearly two decades of empowerment and development of people to higher levels of achievement, Pat Malloy is an industry leader in mentoring, coaching, and developing some of the world’s best players.
As a director at the Peak Centre for Human Performance, Pat has worked with world class teams, coaches, and players; leveraging sports science, performance analytics, and ethics in sport to create a strong structural base with successful outcomes.
Pat’s NHL coaching experience includes several seasons as a development coach for the Buffalo Sabres, as well consulting in player development for the Ottawa Senators. Pat is a former player development and performance coach with the QMJHL’s Gatineau Olympiques.
Pat continues to individually consult with some of the best players in North America and Europe, including many NHL players
Tyler Fitch
Partner, Chief Executive Officer
With over a decade spent in various roles in the sports industry, Tyler brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table, drawing on his experiences from his time working with the Edmonton Oilers, Ottawa Senators, Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group (OSEG), Edmonton Oil Kings, Red Deer Rebels, and many other Jr. ‘A’ organizations. He holds a Certified Hockey Professional (CHP) designation through the Business of Hockey Institute and is the current Co-Executive Director at the BHI. Tyler is also the VP, Operations of the CCRHL and WRHL, organizations that operate recreational hockey leagues in Alberta and Manitoba. He most recently was the Manager of Season Seat Services at Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG), working for the Oilers beginning in 2016.
Tyler has a Bachelor of Commerce in Sports Administration from Laurentian University and is in the process of completing his MBA, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and development. His passion lies in helping organizations improve their workflows and processes, leveraging automation and various strategies to increase efficiency and improve workflows.
